Makeup Techniques - A Few User-friendly Tips
By ron king
Curious about the secrets of but don't know where to start? Learning some easy techniques, particularly how to apply eye makeup, is something that can boost your self esteem and help you to create exactly the look you want. Read on for a few sensual hints for application.

The 1st place you will want to investigate in order to create larger, bolder, and more expressive eyes is to your eyeliner. Eyeliner can be the cure to your small eye blues, but only if you use the proven methods. First of all, you will want to line the entire top lash line and then pull out that line a little bit at the corners of your eye. If you want to, you can also line the bottoms of your eyes, but you must concentrate color only on the outside 1/3 of the eye and extend it just slightly past the edge. Don't be too dramatic. Just a slight line beyond the outside edge will be just enough. Remember that a soft and smoky look will open your eyes up much more than thin hard lines of liner will. Utilize dark and neutral colors with just a little trace of black for lining, since bright shades are what will make your eyes look even more minuscule.

The second spot to focus your eye enlargement process is your lashes. Eyelashes are a stunning eye opener. Before you apply mascara, you can curl your lashes 3 times: once at the base, another half way up, and a 3rd time at the tip. This will help to create a soft, rounded curl of your eyelashes. Then, as you apply your mascara, be sure to fan out your lashes as you go. Do so by brushing the inner 1/3 of your lashes toward your nose. Pull the middle 1/3 straight out. Then, take the outermost 1/3 of your lashes and brush them toward your temples. By enhancing your eyelashes in this manner, you really draw attention to your eyes and help them to project. The more they stand out, the bigger they will look.

Most hot tips for application will point you to your eye shadow. Use caution when doing so, however. Though it is a commonly held belief, dramatic eye shadow can not make your eyes jump out. As a matter of fact, it will do just the opposite. Too much dramatic eye shadow will

cause your eyes to shrink by shading them back into your face. If you do have small eyes, you will want to keep eye shadow very basic. Use only light-colored shadows first of all. Secondly, never apply more than two shades at one time. Remember, simplicity will aid your overall look. Brush a light, subtle base color from your lashes to your brow. Next, use a slightly darker color to create just a subtle definition in your eyelid’s crease. By keeping your shadow simple and subtle, you can enhance your eyes and avoid hiding them on your face.

Next, a way to draw attention to your eyes is to work on the area around them. For starters, dark circles will make your eyes seem smaller than they are. If you have obvious circles around your eyes, they can even make your eyes appear hollow. To correct the problem, use a concealer that is just slightly lighter in the dark circle areas. You can enhance your eyes by using these easy techniques, liberating yourself of the unsightly circles.

Also, look at the shape of your eyebrows when trying to enhance your eyes. Your eyes will look smaller and closer together if you have brows that are too close together or dark. To help expand your eyes and open them, tweeze your eyebrows further out than you might normally. If possible, it is desirable to get your eyebrows approximately an eye length apart if you can.

Prominent eyes may be a blessing, but small eyes are not a difficulty. By simply understanding where to concentrate your efforts, you will make small eyes pop and look fantastic. Practice your techniques, minding the skin around your eyes and you will learn that opening and magnifying your eyes is effortless and even a little bit fun.

With these secrets for application, you will be able to raise your natural beauty, following through with these same formulas that any professional artist would use. Remember that the eyes are your most fundamental feature, so use forethought when picking out colors and cosmetics. These tips don't cost a million bucks, but you will feel like a million once you set about applying like a pro!
